Needy Paws Animal Shelter, an extension of the Humane Society of Johnson County, has been providing sanctuary for sick, injured, homeless and abused animals for over 15 years. The shelter cares for 800-1000 animals annually; this means that there are around 80-100 animals at any given time available for adoption. Our staff members, volunteers and board of directors, in coordination with local veterinarians, work together with the mission of placing healthy, adoptable pets into loving, forever homes. We currently work with PetSmart Charities and New England Rescues to increase the opportunity for adoptions for our shelter animals; if you are an out of state rescue interested in working with us, please contact the shelter - we would love to hear from you! We are able to provide these services for the River Valley's homeless pets through community support. Help us spread the word - Adoption is a wonderful option, Spay and Neuter IS the solution! Thank you for helping us care for so many pets in need!
The River Valley Humane Society would like to invite you to our Pet Food Drive May 23, 2015 10am to 2pm at Starbucks of Russellville. We will have a FREE photo-booth, FREE T-Shirts, and FREE calendars. Starbucks will be offering a FREE 12oz coffee or tea with every donation of dog or cat food. All donations are greatly appreciated and directly support homeless pets in the River Valley. We will be having a raffle for a FREE spay or neuter for 4 lucky pet owners. We will also be live with KCJC Radio. Please come out and join us and be sure to ask our staff about the new services we provide. Hope to see you there!
